A remote monitoring device is a technology-enabled tool that collects, tracks, and transmits a patient’s health data to healthcare providers in real time or at scheduled intervals. These devices allow for continuous monitoring of specific health metrics while the patient is outside of a clinical setting, such as at home or during daily activities.

How it Works

 

Remote monitoring devices use sensors to collect data on various physiological parameters. This data is securely transmitted via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular networks to healthcare providers for analysis.

 

Also by enabling real-time remote monitoring, providers can track patient health, detect issues early, and intervene as needed, ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing the need for frequent in-person visits.

Nurses do respond to any measured aberrations from normal. Patients should expect a phone call check if there are measured abnormalities.
